Mid- and Top-Level Management Training in Resilience & Sustainability

Description

I am the CEO of the Iceland Renewable Energy Cluster (IREC), a leading organization dedicated to advancing Iceland's energy sector since April 2022. With over a decade of expertise in cluster management and consulting, I have been instrumental in driving innovation and collaboration within the industry. My educational background includes an MBA from the University of Iceland and a certification in Creating Shared Value from Harvard Business School (2024). Additionally, I have specialized training in cluster management from IESE (2011) and Cluster Academy (2013). Beyond my role at IREC, I serve as the local partner for the Social Progress Imperative in Iceland, an initiative focused on redefining societal success metrics and empowering communities for greater social impact. My dedication to social progress and sustainability is evident through my local and international efforts. I have extensive experience in organizing high-impact seminars, summits, and conferences. I have a proven track record of uniting key stakeholders across industries, notably co-designing the Iceland Geothermal Conference and the What Works in SPI Summit, both of which have become pivotal platforms for industry dialogue and innovation. In addition to my professional endeavours, I contribute to academia as a part-time faculty member at the University of Iceland, where I teach courses on corporate sustainability, strategic planning in tourism, and leadership for public administration. My ability to blend practical experience with academic insight makes an engaged mentor and leader. On personal notes I train my leadership abilities with my Icelandic horses and love my dog.
