"Challenge: How to work with larger visitor count with limited resources? I have had to overcome such challenges several times in different destinations when I worked as for a large tour operator relying on SMEs to provide services. The reason for limited resources were diverse, varying from no infrastructure because the destination was new to tourism, limited infrastructure during low seasons or the destination was not new to tourism but only had capacity to manage certain visitor count etc. How can smaller service providers prepare and respond to such scenarios? What are the challenges and opportunities in the different seasons, in collaboration with the local community? How can a larger visitor volume be responsibly managed? What solutions can be suggested to make the experience effective, enjoyable and as low impact as possible for visitors, locals and the environment? Currently this situation is what many destinations and local suppliers are facing. While there is no one solution that works for every destination, it is always very supportive to learn from best practices, see what worked and what not in certain places and situations. While such conversations may not bring a final solution, they can spark creative thinking and new ideas for many companies and destinations. "
