Challenge of sustainable tourism management for rural destinations and lack of tourism data especially on visitors and their behavior in the scarcely populated rural areas, where tourism accommodation businesses are rare. For example city of Banja Luka has about 85% of territory that is rural and one large section of this is Manjača Mountain and Vrbas River Canyon, referred to as Vrbas Adventure Resort. In this area accommodation businesses are present only by the riverside, and are very few, and the only data on tourist in the area are coming from these sources. Beyond this there is also few formal tourism offer providers in the area, so as a source of data we use statistics from the urban part of the destination for all decision making in the area. Also management of the destination is divided between multiple public organizations. So I would like to propose a challenge of designing some kind of digital and structural solution for handling this challenge, that would do this with SMEs in the centre.
